The All-Girls Palisades Basketball League is a non-profit organization that encourages young girls to play sports for enjoyment. Founded by neighborhood parents, the league began playing at the Palisades Park Recreational Center and has expanded to several new venues.
The League's philosophy promotes athleticism, self-esteem through sports, good sportsmanship, opportunities for players of all skill levels, and a strong sense of community. It focuses on teaching the game, its rules, and its philosophy both on and off the court, and seeks to manage the competitive elements of the game until the girls are old enough to handle them.
